My voice

My voice feels small

Suffocated by the anger I feel for my race, my human race.

A people ignorant, privileged, and immune

To the systemic racism in this country

A people that cannot and do not understand

What racism feels like

I do not pretend to know

But I will work to learn

And I will make my empathy and love

Bigger than my hate

And my voice will speak out for

equality and justice

For all races

In the pursuit of the one race

The human race
